There is nothing better than salt in the air and sand in my hair (what's left of it).

Afternoon Sesh Cut Short By Lightning

Paddled out at 1:40, caught a few little waves for a little over an hour and then the south wind took over and lightning started hitting the hills just above SONGS. Time to go, since it was heading our way.  Tried to get some video of a lighting strike but mother nature wasn't cooperating. The rain was just start to fall and the wind really picked up.

More Windswell?!?

And some cold water thrown in just for kicks. After 90 minutes I was done, too many one or two turn waves. The sunrise was killer though.

Change Is Good

The buoys popped up a little overnight and blessed us with chest to shoulder high waves this morning. I'm glad I paddled out just after 5:00, there were only a few of us on it early and there were plenty of waves to go around. Things started to slow down as the tide filled in.

We Got Wet

Small, junky, crossed up peaks.  Ultra warm water and glassy though. Only a few pictures today cuz my camera battery died.

Shoulda Slept In

Smaller with a lot of windswell crossing things up. Blah, Blah, Blah it pretty much sucked. Here's Rich and Brian sharing one....

Crossed Up

Three small swells this morning: a S swell, a SSW swell and a WNW wind swell all jumbled up together. I only caught about 10 waves, but most of them were pretty good, especially that left handed grinder. There was one exception: a late take off in the foam where I had to abandon ship. Doh!
The Tuna Crabs still stink
