Smaller and Less Consistent

That pretty much sums it up.  Tomorrow should be smaller yet; think I'll take the day off.

At Last

After several days of small mushy surf we finally got some waves with a little juice.  Nothing too big, just chest to head high, but playful. Warm water and a medium crowd with mostly familiar faces.  As by buddies in Ireland would say: "That was some good crack".

A Quickie

Paddled out at 5:30 caught a few waves and exited the water at 6:40 when it started getting too crowded for the inconsistent little waves on hand.  Water was warm so I wore the 2mm. Looks like it's going to be this way for a few more days.

Better Than Nuttin'

Tiny gutless waves this morning.   I always suffer when it’s this small, it’s hard to get any momentum on a soft little wave when you weigh 200 pounds.   Anyway, that’s my excuse for the two donkeys I had today.   The 5 day forecast is pretty much the same; oh well, at least the water is warm.

?Churches?

So I pull into the parking lot at 5:00 and it's already a zoo.   I start riding down and I pass a group of people smoking weed and then another group of people who called me out for speeding past them on my bike.  It was at that moment I decided to do something different and head down to Churches.  It wasn't crowded, only shoulder high and somewhat inconsistent.  But the water was warm and I caught a few OK waves.  Dave and Will said Uppers kind of sucked; inconsistent and crowded.  Actually, Churches sucked too. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

Should Have Slept In

Another small day.  Took the longboard out, probably would have had more fun on a shortboard.  The water was toasty warm, glad I wore the 2mm.  Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Small And Not So Fun

Small gutless waves this morning.  If you slept in you did the right thing.

Small But Fun

For the first hour anyway, then things began to slow down.  There were bigger waves than below but I didn't feel like waiting around for a set.

Change

Nobody likes change.  Today the water temp dropped 5 degrees, the WNW windswell from last night's windfest broke up the lines from the fading S swell and crowd thinned out a little. Still had fun the first 45 minutes or so, then it got inconsistent and soft.  I'll have some cheese with that whine.

Surfing With 40 Of My Closest Friends :-)

All the regulars were here today, as well as fair amount of visitors.  Too bad it wasn't as consistent as yesterday; everybody's wave count was cut in half.  We confirm our humanity by sharing.
