There is nothing better than salt in the air and sand in my hair (what's left of it).

Grounded

Well it looks like my services are going to be needed elsewhere for a while. My better half fractured her Tibial Plateau and will need surgery to screw it back together and then some TLC till she's back on her feet. I may get a chance to surf from time to time but it will be very infrequent. You can call me Nurse Johnny for the time being.

Too Crowded

Long lulls, too many people and lots of waves that just rolled through. I caught a grand total of 4 waves in 2 1/2 hours (not including one donkey). I wasn't the only one, so I know it wasn't just me. It really started to pick up literally right after I got out; figures.  Let's see what tomorrow brings; wait it's a holiday.

A Few Fun Ones Early

The first hour and a half was fun, then the ebb tide slowed things way down. It was a beautiful morning though, air was 50, water was 60 and we had a nice off shore flow. Looks like tomorrow's swell will be heavily shadowed by the islands. Things probably won't get going till later in the day and Monday.

Here's Fred shralping a little one

50% Smaller

And a little inconsistent too. I caught a lot more waves when I moved over towards the bay.
