There is nothing better than salt in the air and sand in my hair (what's left of it).

Thursday Afternoon

Paddled out around 11:00. A little bit of wind on the waist to chest high waves. Not too crowded and boy did the water finally warm up (65 degrees). I didn't check the water temp before heading out. Wore a 3/2 and booties assuming it was still in the 50's. Oh well, the tide was low so at least I didn't have to do the rock dance. The wind was on and off for about 90 minutes and then it came on strong as I was exiting the water.

Last Wednesday

Got a break last week in the afternoon and headed down with my 3/2 and booties. Saw Nate and JC on the beach and they let me know the water had dipped down to 55 degrees. Great. The wind was coming up too. Paddled out anyway. The wind emptied the line-up and miraculously the wind died back down. Had a blast but tweaked my back on my last waves in. I'm just now feeling ok, but no time today or tomorrow. Maybe Thursday mid-morning.
