Snagged A Few This Morning

Pretty fun this morning and nice to get out during the week again when it's not so crowded. I've got to travel to Europe next week so I hope to get out again tomorrow or Friday before I leave on Saturday.

Fun Sunday Morning

Didn't catch all that many waves but loved being in the water after almost 10 days. Rode my new twin fin fish; it was nice.

Yesterday

Post-op appointment yesterday otherwise I coulda gone. Pictures are from Dave and Frank. It'll probably be another 6 weeks before things get back to normal for me. Stoked you guys caught it good and uncrowded.

Tom Curren's First Wave at J-Bay

In '92 Tom Curren made his first trip to J-Bay. Filmed by Sonny Miller and riding a 6’11” x 18 x 2-5/16″ quad, swallowtail, gun. The fin set-up consisted of larger rear fins than the front fins. It was the first wave he caught at J-Bay and the first time riding this board. Just Incredible.

Building

Paddled out at 8:00. Things started out slow but really started picking up around 9:00.  Caught some fun ones especially the one Greg let go ;-)

Yesterday's Afternoon Sesh

Got a break yesterday afternoon and squeezed in a dozen waves in a hour and 15 minutes. Waves were chest high plus, little to no wind and only 10 guys on it. It was a good sesh.
