56th Street

After I got back from Maui I got absolutely slammed at work. It's gonna take a week or so to get back to normal. However, I took a long lunch and ran down to 56th street in Newport just to get wet. Caught a half dozen waves and hauled ass back to work.

Wha???

Just looked at this morning's cam at uppers and saw this!?! Come-On-People!!!  LOL

Yesterday Was Contest Day At The Bay

I didn't mean for that to rhyme :-P

So I watched the contest for a little bit and then surfed Little Makaha.  It was a little too small and sketchy for Hole In The Head.

Nursing a bit of a hangover this morning, but going to head out in a few.

Ironwoods

Today was a cloudy semi-rainy day. Honolua bay was flat and so was hole in the head. So we were laying around watching movies and I happened to notice some whales out front so I grabbed the camera and started taking pictures. It was then I realized the wind had turned off-shore and there were a few little corners right out front. Needless to say I had to partake. The locals in the water said it was the best they've seen the place in months. If you've ever surfed there you know what they're talking about.

A Few Good Days

The last few days have been really fun. A little crowded at the bay yesterday morning but I'm used to much worse at home; so I managed to get my share ;-P
After lunch I paddled out at hole in the head and surfed there by myself for a couple of hours. It's a little sketchy but once you get used to it it's not so bad.
Monday I surfed the bay in the morning and little Makaha in the afternoon. Had more fun at Little Makaha (bigger with only 4 guys on it).
It's smaller today, might have to settle for Ironwoods.

Cold, Windy and Rainy?

Yup, the first couple of days were very wet and very windy. It's slowly clearing up and I did surf Little Makaha and Ironwoods yesterday and Honolua Bay finally started breaking today. Things are looking up on the weather front too.

Here Today - Gone To Maui

Hasn't been much in the way of waves lately but it looked like there were a few gems this morning. Unfortunately, I needed to spend some quality time at work today in order to get ready for my trip. My money is that's Fred on this mornings cam all by himself, lucky bastard:
