As the swell dies out we were pleasantly surprised this morning to still have some head high sets. Especially when the tide began coming in. Water is warming and it was glassy. I'm also attaching some pictures of Richard from last week courtesy of Ruben Pina. Ruben was shooting all last week so if you were out there shoot me an email and I'll send you Ruben's contact info.
Started out the morning paddling through a 4 wave set and then waiting 20 minutes for my first wave. We had mix of left over S swell and some W windswell. Gave up on the point after 45 minutes and paddled over to the bay where I ended up trading waves with Casey for about an hour. Forgot the camera today so all I have are iphone pics. Sorry about that.
This morning we had a mix of leftover south swell and some W windswell. While it wasn't as good as earlier in the week it was definitely rideable. I took some pretty crapy pictures today, believe me it was better than this:
Got down to the beach about 10 after and paddled out at
5:20. The first wave I took off on I
could barely see, but got a good long one into the bay. I must have been lucky cuz most of the rest
of my waves out ran me. Maybe I was just
too far up the point.
Ruben Piña was on the beach taking pictures again this
morning. If you were out today and want
his contact info, shoot me an email. He
was showing me some nice ones after I got out of the water.
