Home Sweet Home

After a week in sub-freezing weather it was so nice to return to a classic SoCal high pressure system, on top of that mother ocean decided to grace us surf starved fools with a mediocre swell.   I'll take it.

Minus Three Degrees

Kansas City was wicked cold -3 degrees with a stiff wind behind it, who knows what the wind chill was.   Pretty at night, the Christmas lights were still up and the food is great.   Waco feels warm at 32 degrees.

Away on business - KC and Waco.  I hate airports, the whole process is ridiculous.  When are we going to start profiling?

Doesn't look like I'll be missing much next week.  But I will be freezing my ass off .

South Wind

Got a late start today and didn't get in the water until 10:00.   The wind was just coming up.   By the time I got my wetsuit on the crowd thined to a dozen guys.   When I got out of the water there were only a handful of us left.  Consistent chest high waves with the incoming tide; had a blast.

4:3, Booties, Hood and Gloves.  First time with gloves, not sure I like the feel of them. But I sure like being warm.   Fun chest high surf today.
