It Sucked And I Sucked

Donkeys galore with the mushy junk on offer today. But hey we got wet and got some exercise. Hopefully, in 2019 things will improve; but the 10 day forecast is weak.

Back At It

Been a really busy holiday season for us. After we got back from Maui on the 18th we had 3 days to prepare for our annual family Christmas party on the 22nd and go to work too. I'm the oldest of 13, so the final tally was 55 people for dinner, carols and games. And we decided to cook a traditional turkey dinner with all the fix-in's. What were we thinking?!? But that was only the beginning. The 23rd is my daughter's birthday and she had an ugly Christmas Sweater party, the 24th we went out to dinner and on the 25th we had dinner at my daughter's house where I cooked another turkey with stuffing. It was so fun, but we're exhausted. it took a couple of days to recover.

So anyway, I got lucky today and scored some fun waves with a light crowd. Wind was howling offshore too.

Maui

I spent two weeks in Maui and almost got completely skunked on waves until the last two days. I surfed hole-in-the-head last Saturday the 15th and Honolua Bay on Sunday the 16th before I left on our red-eye for home. But hey, we had a great time with our grandkids the first week and a very relaxing time on the back half of the trip.
