O-side North Harbor

Too cold cuz I wore a 3/2, too much tide (6.8 at 7:20) and I couldn't get a decent wave to save my soul. A perfect way to wrap up the this lackluster year of surf.  The bar is set pretty low now so 2014 should be a banner year!

Friday and Saturday

Friday was a waste of time.  Saturday I drove down to Oceanside Harbor and snaged some clean chest high plus zippers.  Some were too fast others were perfection.  Will we ever get any more waves at uppers?

Awesome Beach Day

Almost 80° and offshore. Unfortunately the buoys are 1.0' or less.  My pugs are lovin it. 

Merry Christmas

I pray that your stockings are overflowing with surfboard wax and nubsters.  And that you (we) have some decent waves to use them on soon.  I've been spending some quality time with my family the last few days and should be back in the water as soon as it picks up.  Merry Christmas!

Can You Say Offshore?

Pretty hard offshores this morning with head high set waves and only a handfull of people willing to brave the cold morning air.  Paddled out before 6:00 with the moon providing the bulk of the light. A little too windswelly for my liking but who am I to complain when everything else was perfect.  Surfed till 9:00, now I need a nap.
