Back in the Saddle Again

Just Phil and I today for some reason.   It was off-shore, head high on the sets but a little funkified by the 5.8 high tide and unorganized swell.   But we got a few waves and went to work satisfied.

Jetlag

What a nightmare coming home from Ireland yesterday.   First, I got the privilege of  having enhanced inspections in both Dublin and Heathrow.  Then my flight was delayed in Heathrow by four hours because of an anti-skid fault light in the cockpit.  Of course we were already on the plane heading to the runway when this issue surfaced, so we had to stay on the plane.  Turned out the alarm was coming from one tire only; so they decided to take off anyway.  Got home last night and slept until 9:00am this morning.    Checked the Cams and saw the wind was already on it and decided to complete the weekend entertainment with 2010 tax preperation.  Time for a Tecate.  Here's a couple more pics of Ireland.

My Home Away From Home

I love the smell of turf burning in peoples homes.  I love Guinness.   I love mussles and monkfish for dinner.  I love Ireland.   I miss my wife and family, but I'll be home on Saturday.   It's been a long week.....

Home of Joanni Gutenburg (Gutenburg Bible).  Actually had a few hours when I got here to walk around town and go to the Gutenburg museum.   Lot's of old printing equipment and some of the original Gutenburg Bibles.   It's damn cold here, below freezing, but I'm going to sunny Ireland next.  

Eurotrip

Been fighting a cold for several days and have been surfing later in the day after things warm up.  Now I'm heading to the EU for a week.  Have I whined enough about airports yet?   At least I'm flying business class.

Looks like I'm going to miss a great week of surf.  Damn the forecast looks good.

Saturday Afternoon at the Beach

Came down today with my daughter and grandaughter.   Played in the sand, enjoyed the sun and surfed too.  A good time was had.

Home Sweet Home

After a week in sub-freezing weather it was so nice to return to a classic SoCal high pressure system, on top of that mother ocean decided to grace us surf starved fools with a mediocre swell.   I'll take it.
